Report: Washington, DC Has Highest Number of Wealthy Millennials and Boomers byElaine360

Wealthy millennials and baby boomers tend to live in the same cities, with some exceptions, according to a Nielsen report. Washington, D.C., San Francisco and Boston top lists of markets where the highest percentage of millennials and boomers making more than $100,000 per year reside. Baltimore, New York, Seattle-Tacoma and Denver are also on both top 10 lists, though in differing order.

San Diego, Austin, Texas, and Chicago rounded out the top 10 for millennials, while boomers were more highly concentrated in Hartford and New Haven, Conn., and Philadelphia.

Millennials, those born between 1977 and 1995, and boomers, those born between 1946 and 1964, each make up 24 percent of the U.S. population.
