Building permits for single-family homes rose 2.7 percent in February to a rate of 600,000 units, the U.S. Census Bureau and the Dept. of Housing and Urban Development jointly announced.
Single-family housing starts in February were at a rate of 618,000, a 0.5 percent increase compared with January’s figure of 615,000.
